In the afternoon take the funicular and cable car up the Moléson with views extending from Mont Blanc all the way to the Bernese Alps. In the evening visit the observatory with the world's largest telescope, which can home in on more than 1000 different spots. Spend the night in a camp on the summit. A genuine summit experience. Closed from November through to mid-December.

Information

How to get there:
By postal bus or car from Schloss Gruyères to Moléson Village and from there by funicular and cable car to the summit (where there is skiing in winter).

Sunset:
Thanks to the open view towards the west, the sunsets and (and the sunrises) are especially impressive. If you don’t want to stay in the dormitory, you can catch the last cable car to the valley on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 p.m.

News

WINTER SEASON IN MOLESON The funicular and cable car are open every day from 24th December 2011 until 1st April 2012. Every Saturday evenings from 7th January until 31st March 2012, enjoy our package funi-fondue. It costs Fr. 29.- per adult and Fr. 21.- per child. This package includes the return ticket by funicular and the cheese fondue. It is available from 5pm. The funicular is opened until 10.30pm.
