This single municipality also includes Les Crosets and Champoussin. Val d'Illiez is widely reputed for an exceptionally varied fauna and flora, although its fame is not limited to its natural wonders. The village also offers a wide range of activities, from the 100 km of marked pedestrian and mountain biking trails to the two tennis courts (lit until 10:00 pm nightly) not to mention the thermal baths and the Via Ferrata climbing course. The baths at the Thermes Parc, presently undergoing an ambitious expansion project, offer a pool (32° C), a hot-water river (27° C), a lake and a traditional-style restaurant, in addition to a spectacular natural setting.
Highlights
The Via Ferrata de Tière, halfway between Val d'Illiez and Champéry, was inaugurated in May of 2000. This is a high-adrenaline activity, part-hiking trail, part-climbing wall, which will allow you to experience the thrill of mountain climbing in complete safety.
