Sils lies amid an inspiring landscape that ignites in any visitor a strong desire for movement, be it a meditative or romantic walk across the snow-white Val Fex or a cross-country ski tour deep into the endless valley. The Furtschellas Railway connects Sils to an exciting ski terrain, from which skiers may easily reach also the neighboring ski resorts of Corvatsch, Corviglia, Celerina and Samedan.

Numerous cultural events, ranging from literature to music and from theater to sculpture, make Sils also Engadine's cultural center. The village has an impressive distinct character embodied in the well-preserved traditional architecture, the classy hotels and the natural warm hospitality of the local inhabitants.
