The transmission tower of the Swisscom supplies the surrounding area with radio and television programs. The new tower is built on concrete piles with a total height of 196.2 meters, consisting primarily of an upward tapering, prestressed concrete cylinder and a 126-meter-high pipe crown.

The Television Tower Bern-Bantiger has an observation platform at an elevation of 33.7 meters that is accessible via an outer staircase. A panoramic view extends over the surrounding Bernese Alps with Finsteraarhorn - Eiger - Mönch - Jungfrau and the Gantrisch Chain. Down below is the city of Bern. The other side of the Jura is also visible.
