This soft, sugary raisin bread is the traditional "Sonntagszopf" or plaited loaf of the inhabitants of Neuchâtel. The name comes from the French "tailler", which means "to cut" or "to cut out", which describes its typical pattern. Flour, butter, eggs, some lemon rind and sultanas are mixed together to make a dough, placed in a cake mould and cut up with scissors in a zigzag shape. Enjoy it with a little butter.
