The network is supplemented by several somewhat more demanding secondary routes. The cross-country ski trails with reliable snowfalls and views of the Gantrisch range, Lake Thun and the Alps are suitable for dedicated sportspersons as well as amateur cross-country skiers.

45 km of cross-country ski trails for traditional skiing and skating combine the main departure points: Schwarzenbühl/Selital, Ottenleuebad and the Gurnigel water divide.
