It was awarded the Wakker Prize by Switzerland’s Natural Heritage Society in 1986. The Diemtig Valley House Trails are ideal for exploration on foot. The majority of walking trails are well sign-posted with tan-coloured signs. The individual houses are identified with signs of the same colour. They bear the same numbers as their descriptions in the Diemtig Valley House Trail leaflet. Because of the considerable length of the valley and its dispersed settlement character, three different house trails lead to the widely scattered houses in the valley.
