Guided walk around Umbrail – Stelvic

The Piz Umbrail peak played an import role during the 1914-18 border occupation. Throughout summer and winter, Swiss soldiers up in the high rugged mountains of this region watched events unfolding on the Austria/Italy frontline. This guided walk follows in the footsteps of soldiers from the First World War, with valuable information about military installations and events near the front. A challenging 6-hour walk.
