Chasseral - the wonderful world of métairies

St. Imier - Le Chasseral

Despite a motorway and a television tower, the Chasseral has remained a solitary mountain range high above the lake region. Traditional practices such as cheese making on ‘métairies’ (Alpine farms with restaurant) have been retained. A leisurely loop takes you from one ‘métairie’ to the next, each with its own ambience and special offerings.
