If you're lucky, you may even be able to see as far as the distant line of the Alps. On the walk you pass farms, fields and woodland. In Linn, which is right on the route, stands what is said to be the oldest lime tree in Switzerland, estimated to be no less than 800 years old.
Brugg - Linn Chillholz - Staffelegg
The first part of the walk passes through the densely populated area of Brugg. The route leads down from the station to the old town and from there on towards the Staffelegg. Climbing gently, it reaches the Bzberg, and then continues towards the Staffelegg, passing the lime-tree of Linn. The busy Aare valley is now left far behind and the scene is one of rural tranquility. Following the Jura Mountain Trail, you eventually reach the Staffelegg pass.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
