Via Romantica

Description

Starting off from the Walser settlement of Jenisberg, the trail runs alongside the Landwasser valley and through the rugged Drostobel to Filisur. The ore from the 'silver mountain' (Monstein) is presumed to have been transported along this route to Bellaluna for smelting. Today the trail offers unique views, for example of the bold Wiesen viaduct of the Rhaetian Railway which spans the Landwasser river. 3.5 hours
