The monastery of Bonmont, founded in 1123, joined the Cistercian order in 1131. It was the first monastery of this order in what is now Switzerland. The Abbey has been a listed building since 1942 and has been restored several times. Guided tours and concerts are offered in the monastery. Closed from late October to Easter.
