This is Versailles en miniature! A harmoniously designed palace in the French neoclassical style. It was built in 1696 for Charles de Chandieu, an officer in the French Army. In front of the palace, one can observe ducks frolicking in the palace-owned ponds. Purchased by the town in 1877, the palace has been used as the municipality’s administrative building and as a school. The palace is not open to the public and can only be admired from the outside.
