The rock towers up 60 metres above Surava, sheer yet delicate. A crevasse splits the rock face from top to bottom, forming a large hole 2 metres across near the top. Crap Furò is a Romansch name meaning "holey rock". For thousands of years, the wind and weather have shaped the tower of rock that is made of greywacke, a type of sandstone, leaving behind a rough, furrowed surface.
