Coloured a vivid blue by the combined effects of algae and glacial clays, the lake is fed by fast flowing waters from a spring 10 metres higher up the hillside. Around the lake there are several picnic tables. The lake is reached in around 45 minutes from la Gouille, or from Arolla on a gentle path via Pramousse in 1h30.
