This small medieval town is of great historical importance. The well-preserved heart of the town, with its narrow alleyways and numerous merchants' and noblemen's houses dating from the 15th to 18th centuries, is under a preservation order. There is a marked circular walk with eleven information boards about the history of Lutry.
