Schmidigehischere, the main village

The Binn valley is one of the most unspoilt valleys in the Alps. The well-preserved centre of the main village of Schmidigehischere, nowadays usually called Binn, with its ancient wooden houses darkened by the sun, its characteristic hump-backed bridge dating from 1564 and the historic Belle Epoque Hotel "Ofenhorn", is of national importance.
