Description
To the south lies the central region of Switzerland with the towns of Brugg and Aarau in the centre of your field of vision. If you're lucky, you may even be able to see as far as the distant line of the Alps. On the walk you pass farms, fields and woodland. In Linn, which is right on the route, stands what is said to be the oldest lime tree in Switzerland, estimated to be no less than 800 years old.
Brugg - Linn – Chillholz - Staffelegg
The first part of the walk passes through the densely populated area of Brugg. The route leads down from the station to the old town and from there on towards the Staffelegg. Climbing gently, it reaches the Bözberg, and then continues towards the Staffelegg, passing the lime-tree of Linn. The busy Aare valley is now left far behind and the scene is one of rural tranquility. Following the Jura Mountain Trail, you eventually reach the Staffelegg pass.
