The former town hall, the "Hôtel de Ville", was built in 1839-1841 and now serves as the courthouse. This beautiful building, inspired by the traditional local building style, is decorated on the outside with monumental frescoes by the artist Biéler and on the inside with tempera paintings by the artist Blailé. The Rathaus is without a doubt the city's most photographed building. Visits during office hours are free of charge
