Species Garden and field margin flora

The Species Garden was started in 1985 with a few seeds of the Goms pea that was threatened with extinction. Now it provides a home for old species of plant that are barely cultivated anywhere else any more. Whether these are old types of cereal or rare field flowers, they are all part of the history and diversity of Valais. Seeds are available for all species so that they can be grown in your own garden.
