Description
In the Aargau dialect, cherries are called "Chriesi". Along this five kilometre circular walk in the Fricktal, there are eleven information panels telling you about growing cherries. In season, walkers are allowed to pick and eat the cherries directly off the tree. You can walk along the "Chriesiweg" all year round. Guided tours, telling you about the produce and its cultivation, the country and its people, can be booked from the organisation “The Aargau Jura“.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.

Please note, you can only taste the cherries from trees marked with a blue ribbon. The other cherries are not for picking, they belong to farmers who earn money from the harvest. If you want to visit a u-pick orchard, where you can can pick-and-pay as much as you want, please write to info@chriesiweg.com
