The Col de Jaman mule track

Description

The route from Montbovon over the Col de Jaman (Jaman Pass) to Montreux-Vevey was once an important trade route for cheese export. The highlight of this historic trail is the 16th century Pontet stone bridge. When restoration work was done on the bridge in 1993, the original paving of the old ruts were uncovered. Duration of the hike from Montbovon to the Jaman Pass is 4.5 hours (9km).
