International Inferno races, Alpine skiing
Mürren
Saturday, Jan 23, 2010
The Inferno race was launched by ski-crazy Englishmen in 1928. Today, it is one of the largest amateur ski races in the world. The number of participants being limited to 1800, at least the same number of would-be-racers are turned away each year. The 15.8-km long run is very attractive, featuring a challenging and varied topography. Once the race is over, the same piste is opened again for everyone.
