The sixth and final stage of the Freeride World Tour 2010 takes place in Verbier, as part of the 14th edition of the Xtreme. After criss-crossing the planet, from the USA to Russia via Japan and France, the world’s best freeriders are qualified for an eagerly anticipated final. These professional riders (men and women in both ski and snowboard categories) demonstrate the depth and breadth of their talent on the legendary Bec de Rosses which rises to an altitude of 3,222 metres. Spectators who gather in Les Gentianes to witness one of the most impressive extreme sports events in the year are sure to enjoy plenty of adrenaline rushes and a spectacular show.
Alongside the incredible scenes to be witnessed throughout the weekend, the emphasis is on preventing risks linked to off-piste skiing: athletes share their passion while insisting on the importance of acquiring a full knowledge of mountain conditions and of using the indispensable freeride equipment.
