The Ice Climbing World Cup will take place in the glacier village of Saas-Fee at 1800 meters above sea level. A 30-meter-high ice wall is prepared at the local parking garage. The roughly 2000 spectators are posted at each level of the spiraling entry ramp. Where they stand, they are close enough to watch the climbers' every move.
