The St. Moritz Tobogganing Club is more than 125 years old. The Grand National is the highlight of an intense season on the Cresta Run, and has, with the exception of the war years, been held every year since its inception in 1885, and requires outstanding efforts by the best Cresta riders. In the 103 presentations of the Grand National, the oldest "sled race" in the world, there have been 49 different winners of the event, and they have reached speeds of up to 150klm/hr on the legendary Cresta Run from St. Moritz to Celerina
