The Engelberg Benedictine monastery - for centuries heaven on earth:
Engelberg's culture dates back to the 12th Century. The village is defined by the monastery and the Collegiate Church. Switzerland's largest church organ, the impressive Collegiate Library, the Valley Museum, a show dairy and a manor house are to be found here. In Engelberg, culture has for centuries been linked with the Divine. The Engelberg monastery is offering the following cultural program:
Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. tours can be conducted. Reduced program in May and October up to mid-December. The tours in the monastery and church as well as to the film shows start at the entrance.

It was a wonderful surprise, when traveling through Switzerland, '85, to come upon the Benedictine Monastery, in Engelberg. I was taught by Monks in Cleveland, Ohio, at Benedictine High School.... John '64
