Walk from the mountain station in the Val Muragl valley, then on to the Sonnenhang, passing through a rich mosaic of plant-life, followed by quite different vegetation on the shady side of the valley. The path continues on to the sunny southern slope above Pontresina, skirting the edge of the forest. Sheep have been grazing here since 1900. Here you will also find rare plants from the Berne region.
