The natural and romantic-looking mosaic of river channels, gravel patches and alluvial forests is reminiscent of the Amazon. Almost half of the water in Switzerland passes this point before flowing onwards to the Rhine and the North Sea. From the Gebentorfer Horn you can see quite clearly where the three rivers meet. An industrial heritage trail and guided cultural history tours explain the importance of water power in the 19th century for the early industrialisation of the region.
