The first section, a circular path of about two kilometres, leads from the Maschgenkamm mountain station around Ziger mountain and is accessible for wheelchairs and push cars.
The second part takes you in zigzags from Maschgenkamm up to Maschgenlücke. From there a flat trail continues to the Prodkamm mountain station. More than 15 interactive stations provide an exciting look at the formation of the Alps, the power of tectonics and general information about the geology. Telescopes are available to take a closer look at the UNESCO world heritage site or you can travel way back in time at the „time leap“ .
Maschgenkamm – Zigerfurgglen – Maschgenkamm – Maschgenlücke – Prodkamm
To get to the GeoTrail, take the gondola from Tannenboden– to Maschgenkamm and when you arrive at Prodkamm, take the 8-seat Prodkamm chairlift and the Prodalp express to return to Tannenheim. From there it’s an easy postbus ride back to Tannenboden.
