Description

A broad gravel path leads from Tignousa on a practically flat trail through floral pastures and aromatic scented woods to the Chalet Blanc and on to Le Chiesso. Sculptures of the solar system planets line the route here, which, as it starts to climb, leads the way to the beautiful Belle-Époque style Hotel Weisshorn. On yet another slight climb, requiring little effort, you then reach the foot of the Pointes de Nava- and open views ahead of Zinal valley; the backdrop of which presenting a chain of four-thousand-and-more meter-high peaks with the Dent Blanche, Zinalrothorn andd Matterhorn amongst them. Prior to this majestic backdrop, the well-prepared path however first runs along a gentle descent of the side valley. And the final leg of this scenic hike leads up a steep zigzag forest trail and over meadows down to your Zinal destination.
