The old Rigi-Kaltbad resort lays half way between Lake Lucerne and Rigi-Kulm (in terms of height) and a broad and initially flat path lead easterly from here towards Rigi-Scheidegg. The Scheidegg summit is reached following an approximately hour and a half hike, from where hikers enjoy great views from every angle. From here the highland path then continues direction Urmiberg. The striking forms of the Mythen summits are next in line to capture attention, together with the lovely Lake Lauerz glistening in the sunshine below. From Urmiberg a private cableway takes you on the final run to Brunnen.
