On the left, views of Lake Lucerne and the Rigi - and to the right breath-taking views down over Oberrickenbach with the Titlis above dominated by the mountain chain. The hike along the broad and barely exposed trail over the Haldigrat is in itself a treat. And the panoramic views as seen from the top of the Brisen simply overwhelming. Here sights extend from the Säntis to the Bernese Alps and practically the entire central Swiss Alps region. Added attraction is also a glimpse of the neighbouring Hoh Brisen with its in part perpendicular rock face. A stony path leads from the Brisen summit to Steinalper Jochli – and from here down to Brisenhaus through fields of boulders and alpine pastures on a partly very steep descent. Striking changes are noted in the characteristics of the path and terrain, with the gentle descent along a gravel path to Tannibüel changing to a gradual climb up to the Klewenalp.
