The Culture Trail -Jura
Water Correction- offers the visitor a hands-on experience of the
monumental changes wrought by human intervention in the landscape of
Lakes Biel, Neuenburg and Murten.
Guests learn about the development of swamp drainage, interesting facts
about the Häftli nature preserve in the dry loop of the Aare River,
about water regulation, the construction of the Aare-Hagneck-Canal and
the changes in the landscape due to the Jura water correction.
Circular Bicycle Trail: Lyss, Büren, Biel, Sutz-Lattrigen - Täuffelen -
Aarberg - Lyss (the trail includes 53 km on asphalt road). Bicycles are
transported on the BTI-train Nidau and Hagneck.
