Description

It then follows the path of the ibex, a fascinating and enlightening trail where you will discover the flora and fauna native to the pastures upstream of the dam. Next the route then crosses the Lac Bleu (Blue Lake), a piece of paradise in the heart of a forest of mountain pine and larch, before arriving at Arolla and then Evolène, Les Haudères and La Sage, authentic villages which breed the Herens cow commonly used in local fighting contests. Your trip will take in the Cabane des Becs de Bosson and the Lac de Louché where you will be treated to spectacular mineral scenery at altitudes between 3000 and 1400 metres before finally arriving in Nax.

The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
