Description
The Guarda Val is a unique Maiensäss hotel in 11 huts and barns that are up to 300 years old. Located 1600 metres above sea level in the hamlet of Sporz, directly above Lenzerheide, the Guarda Val combines the fascination of a deep-rooted Graubunden alp tradition with a contemporary concept Alpine design and lifestyle. The hotel skilfully combines luxury, pleasure and personal service with authenticity, simplicity and a genuine mountain experience. A cosy retreat as a balance to our hectic daily routine, where all the most highly prized assets of our Western world are to be found: nature, time, tranquillity and self-reflection. A ¿Maiensäss¿ is an Alpine pasture traditionally used for spring grazing. The herdsman lived in a simple house, and barns with haylofts provided shelter for his livestock.
Location
From Chur to Lenzerheide you drive approximately 20 km or 30 minutes by car. At the entrance from Lenzerheide you move to the right, direction Sporz, then always straight ahead upon the hill. Have a good trip.
