Built between 1848 and 1900 it's recognised as one of the most beautiful, largest and best maintained historical hotel buildings within Switzerland. The hotel is currently building upon its rich past to offer a very promising future. The rooms and suites are in the Engadine style. They have undergone continuous renovation since 2004 and offer an exclusive, cosy ambiance with the newest technical comforts. As of December 13, 2007 one of the largest (2000 sm) and modern spas of the Engadine region will open and invite guests to reignite their senses. The renovations also include 28 new rooms with amazing views over the Roseg Glacier. The Kronenhof also offers many culinary delights. Guests may dine in the beautiful Grand Restaurant decorated exquisitely in the new baroque style, enjoy a tête-à-tête in our cosy pine wood Kronenstübli or have lunch at our sun pavilion.
Location
The Kronenhof is situated right in the middle of the old village area of Pontresina, called "Laret", majestically it bestows an appearance of luxurious splendour upon the village. It offers a unique view to the glaciers Bernina and pine and larch forests. Pontresina's elevation is 1800 metres above sea level, on the foot of the eternal ice of the Bernina and at the entrance of the wild romantic Roseg valley. It is within easy distance to the popular St. Moritz; the meeting point of skiers, cross-country skiers, mountain climbers, nature lovers and above all world travelled gourmands. Every guest finds his personal holiday delight be it during the winter or summer season.
