Moudon lies in a green valley at the confluence of the rivers Broye and Mérine.
Moudon is particulary interesting to visitors who wish to discover the richness of its prosperous past. For example: St-Etienne's Church and the medieval part of the town are well worth a visit, and the town has several magnifiscent old residences and beautiful fountains.
