Gerra Piano

These agglomerates are part of the community of Gerra Verzasca. Agarone and Piandesso are situated on the magnificent hill, which dominates the Magadino plain, in the midst of splendid vineyards, which give the best Merlot of the region. Splendid view of Lake Maggiore - possibilities of nice hikes - an ideal place for vacations. Gerra Piano, at the foot of the hill, is mostly a farming community, with vast vegetable cultivation. It hosts the cantonal center for the re-education of invalids. There is an old press in Agarone (keys can be had at the Romitaggio restaurant).
