Caneggio

The village is dominated by the church, surrounded by houses built close together; some of them have typical Lombard arcades, others have galleries or balconies.
Nowadays a significant part of the population commutes to the lower plains for work; a small number pursue the traditional activity of sheep-rearing or the production of the valley’s famous soft cheeses, formaggini, in great demand on the market. The village dates back to the Middle Ages.
