Anyone seeking peace and quiet will find the smallest village in the Upper Engadin a haven of tranquillity. And yet the most beautiful ski areas are just around the corner: St. Moritz is only 15 minutes away.
For cross-country skiers, the trails begin right on the doorstep. The pretty village with its 173 inhabitants and typical Engadin houses, where traditional Romansh culture is part of day-to-day life, lies directly on the course of the Engadin Ski Marathon.
Madulain is also an ideal base for exploring other trails of the Engadin’s cross-country network, which extends for 200 kilometres (125 miles). It has trails suitable for all skiers from beginners to athletes – and pet lovers, too: stretching between Madulain and S-chanf are the only dog trails in the Upper Engadin.
