A hike in search of the mountain fauna. Your guide, who knows the area very well, takes you to the grazing areas of the wild animals and to a feeding place for red and roe deer. The hunt and hunting methods from the past and the present will be explained to you.
You will be given information about ibex, chamois red and roe deer, rabbits and predators such as foxes, martins, weasels and lynxes as well as the local bird and reptile populations. Some species which were wiped out in the last century, such as wolves and bearded vultures, are increasing their numbers again in our region thanks to official controls and a better understanding on the part of humans. If you are lucky, you might see one of the golden eagles which live in the Saas Valley. There is no guarantee, however, that you will see animals in the wild!
Equipment: hiking boots, rain protection, walking stick and a snack.
