The Artillery Fortress was constructed inside the cliffs of the Rigi as part of the Gotthard defense system during the Second World War. For many years it was a well kept secret and always ready for combat. In 1998 the Artillery Fortress was no longer needed for military purposes. It is now open to the public. Join a guided tour and discover munition depots, tunnels, the living quarters and much more.
