PreparationPrepare the batter by stirring flour, beer, a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside for 1 hour.
Season the Pike slices with salt, pepper, seasoning powder, chopped herbs and lemon juice. Marinade for 1 hour.
Remove excess liquid and dry with a paper towel. Turn in a little flour and dip in the batter. Bake in hot, but not smoking hot oil, in deep fryer or cast iron pan for 2 minutes until golden brown. Serve with mayonnaise or tartar sauce on the side.
