The mining museum located in the former coal repository provides visitors with a fascinating insight into the 100-year old mining tradition in Horgen-Käpfnach and also explains how coal is formed. There are films, display boards and exhibits of mining lamps, tool and fossils. This is followed by a 1.4 kilometer rail ride through the dark mining tunnel - a thrilling adventure for visitors of all ages!

Open from April through the end of November, Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

How to get there:
S-Bahn Line 2 or 8, or by a Lake Zürich boat to Horgen, then by local bus No. 4 or No. 5 to the Käpfnach stop. It is also possible to take a ferry from Meilen to Horgen. The Museum is a 15-minute walk.
