Just where the Upper Engadine Valley becomes the Lower Engadine, somewhere between Zuoz and Zernez, the River Inn has created a deep gorge, where the sides of the valley rise up steeply on both sides of the river. While the right-hand side of the valley is part of the Swiss National Park and is therefore largely left to Nature, along the left-hand side of the valley there are a number of picturesque villages to admire, typical of the Grisons region.

Description

The biking route from Zuoz to Zernez and back on the other side of the valley offers an excellent insight into this fantastic area. Lovely sections through woods alternate with open trails where you can enjoy wonderful, wide views.
