As well as the stunning views of the Alpine chain and the Jura itself which are to be enjoyed, the big Chasseral tour will keep you busy negotiating plenty of tricky trails. Further endorphin-exhilaration is guaranteed on the 28 downhill kilometres of the second part of the tour.
Magglingen - Nods - Chasseral - Diesse - Biel
The first 450 uphill metres are covered with the Magglingen mountain railway, after which the route takes you along the hiking trail up to the Twannberg, then on from there to Nods via Lamboing and Diesse. This point marks the start of the major ascent to the Chasseral. From Chasseral, the route winds its way back down the hiking trail to the Métairie du Milieu de Bienne and to the main square. After the Bison farm youll need your technical skills to take you down to a valley, uphill for a short stretch, then down once more to Diesse. From here you head back to the Twannberg. The route now takes you down the hiking trail to Gaicht and from there along the hiking trail towards Biel.
