Description
The easiest route will not be taken. Instead, the most interesting tour which will include some of the most famous and scenic passes for a total elevation gain of nearly 17,000 meters over a distance of 650km in 5 days.
The trip will begin across the border in Chamonix, France and wind its way through vineyeards before crossing the beautiful Col de la Croix. From there the road heads east towards Grindelwald, beneath the mighty Eiger North Face and a climb of one of Europe’s most beautiful roads to the Grosse Scheidegg. The Susten Pass and Passo San Gotthardo follow with three days remaining all the way to Val Mustair in the Grisons and finally up to Passo Stelvio right on the Italian border.
Day 1, 14 July: Chamonix - Zweisimmen (130km)
Day 2, 15 July: Zweisimmen - Wassen (150km)
Day 3, 16 July: Wassen - Disentis (130km)
Day 4, 17 July: Disentis - Zernez (140km)
Day 5, 18 July: Zernez - Passo dello Stelvio (95km)
