These mountains are also superbly suited for top-notch biking tours. Technical trails are here the order of the day. You will ascend plenty of meters in altitude. The vistas of the Lake Lucerne Valley basin are simply spectacular. On the other side the deeply cut Eigen Valley is spread out before your eyes. This picturesque spot presents itself in singular solitude - there is hardly a soul to be seen.

Kriens - Fräkmünt - Lauelenegg - Unter Lauelen - Trochenmatt - Moos - Eigental - Chraigütsch - Kriens

The bike tour begins in Kriens and takes you at first via the Krienseregg to the Fräkmünt Mountain. An ultra steep and ultra technical single track then runs down into the Upper Eigen Valley. Riding in the direction of the valley you will ascend Trochenmatt. On your way to the Stäfeli Mountain, where an Alpine inn beckons you to stop for a repast, you will espy the Mittagsgüpfi Mountain. Subsequently, the route continues downward in the direction of the right side of the valley. Later on, you will return to the Eigen Valley on lonely trails and paths. From Fuchsbüel a challenging ascent leads to the Ross Hut. The last section of the tour runs along the hiking trail down to Kriens.

The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
