An international marathon against the fabulous backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, which climbs 1,823 meters over a distance of 42.195 kilometers. A specialist American marathon journal described this as one of the most beautiful routes in the world, offering spectators, too, a unique experience. 35,00 runners from approx. 35 nations master the course, but just as many are unable to take part due to the limited number of starting places. The Marathon takes place each year in September.
